For a plane journey from Frankfurt am Main International Airport to Linate Airport
, I recommend :

both sides

"Great view over the alps "

After take off you can see the river rhine and the cities Mannheim and Karlsruhe if you are seated on the right. The crossing of the alps is one highlight of this flightroute. You get a great view on both sides. For a view over Milan while landing you must take a seat on the left. If you are seated on the right you can see the second and bigger airport of Milan, Malpensa.Enjoy your flight!
